DraftKings Overview
DraftKings is one of the original daily fantasy sports providers in the US. It launched its online DFS site in 2012, offering contests on baseball, hockey, football, daily fantasy basketball, and golf.
DraftKings launched New Jersey’s first legal online sportsbook in 2018. It operates online in partnership with Resorts Casino in Atlantic City. However, through a 2019 partnership with Caesars Entertainment, DraftKings is able to run online sportsbooks wherever Caesars have land-based properties.
Since then, DraftKings has widened its mobile sportsbook and DFS site to cover Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Indiana and New Hampshire. DraftKings relaunched in Alabama in late 2019. A DraftKings online casino is open to NJ players too.
DraftKings Sportsbook Bonuses and Promotions
You can earn a DraftKings bonus when you first open your account. It works in two parts: a 20% deposit match up to $2,500. If you deposit the full amount, DraftKings will give you $500 in bet credits to use anywhere on the site.
For every $25 of credits played through the sportsbook, you will receive $1 in bonus funds. Eligible sports bets are required to have odds of -300 or above. The offer is also available to DraftKings casino players.
As well as a deposit match, you’ll get a risk-free bet worth up to $500. You’ll receive the bet only if your first wager on the DraftKings sportsbook loses.
You can also take advantage of regular Odds Boost promotions on selected sports. Profit Boost tokens are awarded regularly as well. With these tokens, a percentage boost is applied if your bet wins.

DraftKings Sportsbook – Available Sports
Our DraftKings review team explored the full range of sports betting options on the site. There are well over a dozen sports to bet on, including football, hockey, baseball, and basketball. You can also place wagers on college sports if they take place outside your home state.

We can’t leave out odds from our DraftKings sportsbook review. We found the range of odds at DraftKings comparable with other legal sports betting sites in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Point spreads, total points, and moneyline markets were pretty much in line with other sportsbooks.
The benefit with DraftKings is the odds boost promotion. Daily markets are boosted on a range of sports like hockey, soccer, and college basketball. For example, we found NBA odds on 3 NBA teams all to win boosted from +346 to +380.
Daily Fantasy Sports Bonuses and Promotions
You can also claim a free bet on Daily fantasy sports contests of your choice. This can be claimed after you make your first DraftKings deposit.
The bonus for DFS is a free entry into any $3 contest. You must deposit at least $5 to claim the offer.
As a new player, you can also jump straight in to the DraftKings Rewards program. The more contests you enter, the more points you earn.

When completing our DraftKings review we found fantasy contests in over a dozen sports including NFL, NHL, MLB and NBA. You can also enter daily and weekly contests for eSports and NASCAR. DraftKings is also the official DFS partner of the XFL football league.
There is a heavy focus on NFL at DraftKings. Draft an NFL line-up within the salary cap and rack up points for passing yards and touchdowns. There is a choice of public and friends leagues available. The biggest prize contests are definitely in football too. $750-$5M guarantees have been held regularly at DraftKings for the past few years. DraftKings was also behind the largest fantasy NFL contest in history back in 2019 when it hosted the $10M World Football Championship.
DraftKings DFS Competitions
Our DraftKings review unearthed an amazing selection of DFS contests that run regularly. Entries start from just $0.01, and DraftKings takes a commission when you buy in.
The biggest commissions are in Guaranteed Standard contests which can sometimes have overlays. Commission fees range from 5.67% to 15.9%. For Non-Guaranteed Standard contests which will only run once they’re full, commissions range from 5.67% to 10%.

The Classic DFS contests at DraftKings involve drafting a team for a single match or game while keeping below the salary cap. Choose from the available Player Pool to complete your team. Contests run daily and weekly.
Guarantees
DraftKings runs plenty of Guaranteed Prizepool (GPP) DFS contests throughout the week. Thousands of players flock to these big-prize contests.
Pick ‘em
The Pick’Em contest is available through the DraftKings sportsbook. The season-long football contest awards $1M in guaranteed prize cash, with 1st place taking $250,000.
Leagues

Single Game Showdown
Instead of picking players to fill each position, the Single Game Showdown lets you choose six players from ANY position. Then, choose a captain who will earn 1.5x his final points total.

Steps
Step tournaments were introduced at DraftKings a few years ago and are still popular with DFS players. In Steps, you progress through six levels of contests, each one carrying a bigger buy-in and prizepool.
Multipliers/Boosters
DraftKings runs Daily Fantasy Multipliers, special contests where the prize is calculated as a multiple of your buy-in.
50/50
50/50s, or ‘Double Ups’ are DFS contests where the top half of points scorers share the prize money.
Head-to-Heads
With Head-to-Heads, you can take on one other player without entering a huge league.
Deposits and Withdrawals at DraftKings
You can deposit and withdraw at DraftKings using the usual range of banking options. We recommend the DraftKings Play+ prepaid card, as it tends to have the best acceptance rates. Simply load your card with funds direct from a debit or credit card.
