Boston-headquartered US iGaming giant DraftKings has launched its standalone mobile casino app in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
These two new expansions follow the app’s successful debut launch in New Jersey at the end of last month.
Players in both states will be able to play a mixture of DraftKings-exclusive games and classic casino titles.
In addition to its standalone casino app, the operator’s casino offerings will still be accessible from DraftKings’ digital sportsbook.
“A more holistic product suite”
DraftKings released an official press release sharing the news of its expansion in Pennsylvania. In this, it had the following to say.
“iGaming fans in Pennsylvania will now have the opportunity to experience a more holistic product suite and dynamic gaming experience in a DraftKings-created Casino app.
“In addition to popular slot and table games found only on DraftKings Casino, the new app will also offer games from third-party providers like International Gaming Technology.”
Online casino players in the Keystone State will also soon be able to access the 24/7 DraftKings Live Dealer Studio.
As is the case in Pennsylvania, players in West Virginia will have access to a range of games – some exclusive, others available and popular elsewhere.
In a separate press release, DraftKings had the following to say about its launch in the Mountain State.
“The launch includes the DraftKings Casino standalone mobile application, in addition to access to DraftKings Casino via the DraftKings Sportsbook mobile application, and features virtual, branded table games including popular slot machine games as well as Blackjack, Roulette, Three Card Poker and Keno.
“The Mountain State now joins New Jersey and Pennsylvania as states where DraftKings Casino is available for customers to play. West Virginians can now access the variety of games both through the DraftKings Casino app directly or also via the Sportsbook app where Casino platform will remain embedded.”
DraftKings also making moves in the sporting world
It’s been a busy week for DraftKings, with the operator also being proactive in the world of sports. Today, it announced a sports betting partnership with the Premier Lacrosse League. This will involve being Official Sports Betting Partner of the Championship Series, taking place from July 25th to August 9th.
Through this deal, DraftKings will gain access to the PLL’s marks and logos for its platforms and media channels – which shall be used for marketing purposes. The operator will also enjoy TV and LED signage during each game, thanks to its in-stadium rights.
DraftKings Chief Business Officer Ezra Kucharz had the following to say about this new partnership.
“In partnering with the Premier Lacrosse League, we are able to expand in our sports offerings and introduce our customers to a new and exciting way to engage with our platform.
“The Premier Lacrosse League and DraftKings share a mutual appreciation for innovation and fan engagement. Together we will continue to bring our customers closer to the games they love and the content they crave.”
DraftKings went public in April 2020, following shareholder approval. The operator has said that it is willing to launch its online casino app in more states that allow for this kind of betting.
